The exhibition concept for 2025 has the motto “BASEL.” Each letter inspires a separate exhibition.

B stands for Basilisk: On November 9, 2024, we celebrated the opening of the LOKAL gallery. Our mythical woman has her origins in a basilisk creature that loses its hard, scaly skin through the use of the cosmetic Medskina and transforms into a delicate yet strong and self-confident woman.
A focuses on the apocalypse, which originally means “revelation” and not just destruction.
S is dedicated to Sucinum, amber. The stone is often referred to as the GOLD OF THE NORTH. Since Galerie LOKAL also has its roots in Polish culture, we would like to use it to bring Swiss and Polish art closer together.
E deals with the topic of emigration. What does it actually mean to be an emigrant? When do we speak of emigration? Are we all emigrants at some point?
L introduces local artists.
